Every day is a very exciting day here in the heart of paradise. Yesterday - pure bliss. First a trip up to visit our dear friend Gloria. She's out there in Schelleville all by herself on a hilltop, and although she's never lonely, she is always a welcome visit. Mary, Nancy, Kambria and I get ourselves a glass of the bubbles and sit out on the deck - with a spacious view of the vineyards. From there to home to grill the chicken and cut up the savory olive loaf for a wonderful picnic in the plaza with Tammy, Danielle, and Jenny. They bring more Gloria - it doesn't get better than this! The leaves are many shades of green, the setting sun is streaming through the trees as we approach the golden hour. A fabulous chocolate cake to go with the award winning 2004 Temprenillo, and we're in heaven. Wrapping up, we take the leftovers to Tammy's apartment and head off to dance our hearts out with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - just a brief walk up the street. How lucky are we? Oh, did I mention the tickets to BBVD were complementary for the teachers? yes, this is paradise. The best part - sleeping in my own bed at the end of the day with Buddy curled up beside me.

And now, a phone call to pour wine at the daytime events around the plaza and free tickets to the other shows.
